How We Protect You
Profile Verification
Every new profile is reviewed by our moderation team within 24 hours. We check for fake photos, suspicious patterns, and inappropriate content before approval.
Live Event Moderation
Every event has a dedicated host who monitors sessions in real-time. If issues arise, they can intervene, remove participants, or pause the event immediately.
Privacy by Default
Only your first name and age are shown during events. Your full name, email, and contact details are never shared with other users.
One-Tap Reporting
Report any participant with a single tap during or after an event. Safety reports are reviewed within 1 hour, 24/7, by our dedicated safety team.
Instant Block & Ban
Block any user instantly. They cannot see your profile, contact you, or match with you at future events. Severe violations result in immediate permanent bans.
Zero Tolerance Policy
Harassment, hate speech, explicit content, and catfishing result in an immediate, permanent ban. No warnings. No appeals for severe violations.
Safety Tips for You
Protect Your Personal Info
- Don't share your phone number, address, or workplace in your first interactions
- Use VelocityDate's in-app messaging rather than moving to personal channels too quickly
- Be cautious if someone asks for financial help or sends you suspicious links
Video Date Safety
- Attend events from a neutral background - avoid showing identifiable home locations
- You can turn off your video at any time if you feel uncomfortable
- Trust your instincts: if something feels off, end the session and report it
Meeting in Person
- Always meet in public places for first in-person dates
- Tell a friend where you're going and who you're meeting
- Arrange your own transportation - don't rely on your date for a ride home
Recognizing Red Flags
- Pressure to move off-platform very quickly
- Requests for money, gift cards, or financial information
- Inconsistent stories or refusal to video chat before meeting
